A Lifetime of Helping Families

For more than thirty years, I devoted my career to working with people as an educator and administrator. I learned the value of listening carefully, treating people with respect, and making thoughtful decisions. I worked closely with individuals and families, helping them solve problems, work through difficult situations, and move forward together.
After retiring from education, I looked for new ways to become involved and serve the families of Talbot County. The desire to continue making a difference in people's lives led me to run for Judge of the Orphans' Court.
While running for Judge of the Orphans' Court, I talked with many people throughout Talbot County. Again and again, I heard the same kinds of questions and concerns: What does the Orphans' Court do? Where do I begin? We were completely unprepared!
These conversations stayed with me. I realized that families needed practical, easy-to-understand information they could turn to before a difficult situation arose. That's why I created the Family Guide Library to help answer those questions, give families a place to begin, and provide some peace of mind through preparation.
Whether through education, community service, or public service, my goal has always been the same: to help people feel informed, respected, and prepared.
